Kenyan activist Dr Miguna Miguna has attacked Ugandan opposition leaders Dr Kizza Besigye and Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine for reportedly supporting presidential candidate Raila Odinga of the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition party.
About 20 million voters have gone to the polls today, Tuesday, August 09, to vote a president, governors and members of Parliament.
The presidential race has attracted four candidates: Raila Odinga, deputy president William Ruto of Kenya Kwanza, Prof George Wajackoyah of Roots Party, and David Mwaure Waihiga of Agano Party.
Bobi Wine and Besigye are in Kenya to monitor polls as part of the African observer mission. Bobi Wine, the National Unity Platform (NUP) president, was part of the team that met Raila Odinga while his colleagues met other presidential candidates.
But Miguna Miguna, a noisy political activist currently based in Canada, has now claimed that the two Ugandan opposition activists are hypocrites and in bed with President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta to support Raila Odinga.
Miguna Miguna also alleged that Bobi and Besiye were just pretending to oppose Museveni in Uganda.
“Both Bobi Wine and Kizza Besigye are hypocrites,” wrote Miguna.
“They pretend to fight President Museveni while they support Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga. Down with the African hypocrites.”
It should be remembered that some Ugandans days ago expressed their disappointment with Raila Odinga after he listed Uganda among the world’s ‘worst countries.’ Some Ugandans even demanded an apology from Raila Odinga. (Read Story Here).
Meanwhile, President Museveni previously answered the question of which candidate he supports, between Raila Odinga and William Ruto. (Read Story Here).
