Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP) has confirmed the arrest of suspected killers of a security guard who worked at the Kabuusu Branch of Banxele Forex bureau in Kampala.

According to KMP deputy spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire, three assailants armed with a rifle and riding on motorcycles raided Banxele Forex Bureau on March 19, 2024, shot Peter Agama, a security guard deployed by Wolves Security Group, dead.

The assailants took off with a firearm that Agama, 36, was using to guard the forex bureau.

Following the evening shooting, security officers pursued the assailants, arresting them at Premier Betting in Kawaala Zone.

“Eyewitnesses reported the swift departure of the assailants, leaving Mr. Agama fatally wounded. Swift action was taken by law enforcement and security agencies following the incident. A pursuit of the suspects ensued, culminating in their apprehension in the Kawaala zone at Premier Betting,” said Owoyesigyire.

Police has now confirmed the arrest of the suspected killers, identifying them as Hussein Sebuma aka Obote, David Dumba and Juma Abdullah. Two firearms have also been recovered.

“We can confirm that Sebuma Hussein, also known as Obote, Dumba David, and Abdullah Jumah, have been taken into custody. Two firearms were recovered during the operation: UG PSO 56 4000868 12452, along with 13 rounds (presumably the firearm belonging to the deceased), and another firearm, believed to have been used in the commission of the crime, with 10 rounds,” noted Owoyesigyire.

“The investigation into this tragic event is ongoing, and further details will be made available in due course. The deceased, Mr. Agama Peter, bore three gunshot wounds, and evidence recovered from the crime scene will be meticulously examined as part of the investigative process.”
