Stanbic Black Pirates and Heathens will battle for the 2024 Nile Special Rugby Championship title after booking their slots in the final to be played over two legs.
This comes after the second semi-final playoffs over the weekend when Stanbic Black Pirates hosted resilient Jinja based side, Jinja Hippos. The defending champions survived a battling second-half comeback from Jinja Hippos to eventually win 27-23.
Heathens and Stanbic Black Pirates met at Kyadondo Rugby Club on the opening day of the Championship’s regular season. The result was in favour of Heathens by a 16-12 margin.
The Uganda Rugby Union has officially confirmed that the highly anticipated 2024 Rugby Championship final will be hosted at Kyadondo Rugby Club on June 1, 2024.
When the two finalists met during the regular season, Heathens beat Stanbic Black Pirates 16-12 at Kyadondo Rugby Club.
