FDC Spokesperson and Kira Municipality MP Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda has revealed plans to make a list of people who will be allowed to speak during his funeral when he dies.

Speaking during a special sitting to honour late speaker Jacob Oulanyah, Nganda said he was shocked by the pretence in speeches at funerals.

He added that he had decided to draft the list of people who should be allowed to speak at his burial.

“Usually at death, people will give flowery speeches, including those that will have made your life difficult,” said Ssemujju.

“In fact, I have learned a lesson from the late Hon Oulanyah’s death, I will draw a list of those who will come near my body to speak.”

The Kira Municipality MP also noted that he first interacted with Oulanyah as a lawyer and then as a speaker.

He saluted Oulanyah for forgiving him and for being peace-loving.

“During the passing of POMA, I was one of those he ordered to be evicted from the House but he was not a vindictive man, he later sought peace and I learnt that it was his style of work,” said Ssemujju.
