Eddy Kenzo Appointed Senior Presidential Advisor

EDDY KENZO APPOINTED SENIOR PRESIDENTIAL ADVISOR: All is going well in the home of singer Edrisa Musuuza aka Eddy Kenzo. The BET award winner and Uganda National Musicians Federation president, Eddy Kenzo is now the senior presidential advisor on creatives!

The appointment of Eddy Kenzo as President Yoweri Museveni’s senior advisor on creatives comes months after the president appointment the singer’s lover Phiona Nyamutoro as the state minister for mineral development.

Minister Nyamutoro congratulated her lover, saying his elevation was a “well deserved appointment,” speaking of how he was “proud of you as always” and praising President Museveni for the appointment of her man.

Other artistes who have been appointed by Museveni in recent years include envoy to the ghetto Mark Bugembe aka Bucha man and Catherine Kusasira who was the president’s advisor on Kampala.

But Catherine Kusasira has had her struggles doing her job. At one time she was blocked from seeing the president, the man she was supposed to advise. (See Details Here).

Museveni advisor Catherine Kusasira was also in the news as she choked on loans and cried out for help, including from the president. At one point, she also regretted working for Museveni. (Read Details Here).

As Museveni’s list of advisors and senior advisors grows, there are concerns that these do not really add any advisory value to the head of state.

First, as in the case of Catherine Kusasira, the advisors do not get the chance and time to meet Museveni to advise him.

A few years ago, Museveni summoned his advisors and advised them! (Read Story Here).

But there are some presidential advisors who are more powerful and influential than the vice president, prime minister and several ministers. (Read about them Here).
