Zari breaks silence on reuniting with ex-boyfriend Diamond Platnumz

Socialite Zari Hassan has blasted those claiming she the reason she reunited with former boyfriend Diamond Platnumz is because she is desperate.

Zari chucked Diamond Platnumz in 2018 and each of the two former lovers has struggled to settle down in a relationship.

For example, the relationship between Platnumz and Donna Tanasha didn’t last long. The Tanzanian singer said the breakup would help each party pursue their plans.

But weeks ago, Diamond and Zari started getting closer to each other, largely after the socialite blasted the Jeje hit maker for failing to look after the children he had with her.

Platnumz had pledged to come to the rescue of some vulnerable people whose livelihoods had been grossly affected by the Covid19 pandemic.

Although Platnumz had wanted to rebuke Zari for rapping him, his managers advised him to do otherwise. So, the former lovebirds had long social media chats.

Zari later allowed Diamond Platnumz to video call his children.

Days down the road, the duo is back together. But Zari has clarified that the reunion is for now limited to parenting.

In an Instagram rant, Zari also dismissed reports that she was desperate and was using the issue of children to trap Diamond Platnumz back.

“A lot of you are saying the reason he is back is because ‘Ooh Zari is so desperate and that Diamond is also desperate. They are also asking ‘how are you benefiting if he takes care of his kids? Two years down the line Diamond realized what his problem was,” said Zari.

“Kwanini mnaumia? And this thing is coming from Tanzania. How is one desperate when they decided to take care of their child?”
