National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has told President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni to be smarter if he must rig elections after Electoral Commission (EC) data showed him garnering as high as 100 per cent at certain polling stations, with some having 100 per cent voter turnout.
Data from the EC shows Museveni scoring highly in Kiruhura, Kazo and Isingiro Districts.
Analysis of the EC data shows Museveni scoring 100 per cent at 348 polling stations.
Bobi Wine has described this as shameless rigging devoid of smart thinking.
“How does he and those who support him even sleep at night? Someone should tell him that if he must rig elections, he should be a bit smart! According to the Electoral Commission, all registered voters at those polling stations turned up- no one died, was sick, travelled or just didn’t vote! ” he says.
He also wondered how there could be no invalid votes in some rural districts’ polling stations.
“That no ballot was invalid at polling stations in rural areas of Isingiro and Kazo, yet there were invalid votes at polling stations in urban places including Kampala. This fraud will not go unchallenged. Ugandans must and will reclaim their victory.”
