A section of Ugandans online have likened President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni to Marie Antoinette after the 77-year-old leader told Ugandans to eat cassava if they cannot afford or access bread.

The statement was almost similar to what Marie Antoinette, wife to King Louis XVI, who told starving peasant to eat cake if they cannot afford bread.
Now, some Ugandans have been comparing Museveni to Marie Antoinette, the last Queen of France before the French Revolution.
Some even told Museveni that just like Marie Antoinette’s statement came near the end of Louis XVI’s monarchy, the cassava-bread piece of advice could harbinger the downfall of almost four-decade NRM rule.
