You have no shame! Bobi Wine blasts Museveni for ‘buying off fake NUP coordinators’

National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has blasted President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni for ‘reportedly buying off’ and meeting the opposition party’s ‘fake’ coordinators, saying the 76-year-old head of state has no shame.

Bobi Wine lost to incumbent President Museveni in the January 14 presidential election.

EC chairperson Byabakama to Bobi Wine: Let’s not fool Ugandans

Ahead of his May 12 swearing-in ceremony, Museveni met NUP coordinators at State House Entebbe.

But party spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi laughed off the term ‘coordinators,’ suggesting Museveni might have met fake coordinators.

Bobi Wine says Museveni is not doing anything new when it comes to parading alleged defectors from NUP to the ruling NRM.

“For the past many years, he has always paraded random individuals who he claims have crossed from the opposition to his sinking ship,” claimed Bobi Wine.

“In the last elections, they went as far as getting soldiers and dressing them in NUP T-shirts so that they say our people were crossing over. At times they will get one sell-out for the optics and parade him or her with other random people.”

The singer-turned-politician says Museveni is “desperate to cleanse himself” and “he fails to realise how late it is for him.”

He further claims that Museveni is under pressure from the international community, “too ashamed,” and “now has to pull off some of these desperate theatrics to portray himself in better light.”
