Kenya’s newly elected president Dr William Samoei Ruto has arrived in Uganda, just a few days after the country’s first son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba whipped a storm over a ‘Nairobi capture’ tweet.
President Ruto arrived in Uganda on the afternoon of Saturday, October 08, 2022. He was in company of his wife First Lady Rachel Ruto and Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary (Minister) Alfred Mutua.
President Ruto, his wife Rachel and Foreign Affairs CS Mutua were received by Henry Okello Oryem, the junior minister (Minister of State) for Foreign Affairs (in charge of International Affairs).
By the time President Ruto arrived in Uganda, his host Gen Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni was hosting the National Prayer Breakfast at State House Entebbe. This event precedes the country’s celebration of its independence anniversary.
Ruto will attend the national ceremony to celebrate Uganda’s 60th independence anniversary. Uganda gained her independence from Britain on October 09, 1962.
It should be remembered that Gen Museveni attended William Ruto’s swearing-in ceremony in Nairobi last month. Ruto named Museveni the father of the region, while Museveni told Kenyans not to drag him into their internal affairs and politics. (Read Story Here).
However, weeks later, Museveni’s son Muhoozi said his army has the capacity to capture Nairobi within two weeks. This statement whipped up a diplomatic storm, prompting Museveni to apologize to Ruto and Kenyans for his son’s careless tweets and mistakes. (Read Story Here).
Museveni also revealed why he promoted Muhoozi to the rank of general at the age of 48 even when his son had made such ‘silly’ mistakes. (Read Story Here).
Meanwhile, a popular prophet who accurately predicted President William Ruto’s presidential election victory has revealed the person God has told him will become Uganda’s president after Museveni. (See Details Here).
