We’re not fools: Tycoon Ham fumes as Shs120bn DTB refund slips from his hands, heading to Supreme Court

Tycoon Hamis Kiggundu of Ham Enterprises Ltd has accused Court of Appeal justices of having colonial inferiority complex after they set aside a High Court Commercial Division order requiring DTB Uganda and Kenya to refund Shs120bn hewed off his accounts.

Tycoon Ham in tears as Court of Appeal Judges nullify Shs120bn refund order

After the ruling, Ham threatened to skip High Court where the Justices ordered that the case be returned for a fresh and fair hearing.

Instead, Ham said he is headed to the Supreme Court.

“We are making an appeal at supreme court,” he announced after the ruling.

He accused the Court of Appeal bench of shielding foreign banks and taking Ugandans for “fools.”

“It’s really sad that the colonial inferiority complex and mental colonialism are still deeply rooted in all our structures and systems. Why would Ugandan courts shield an illegality committed by foreign banks yet they have prosecuted fellow Ugandans for far less minor felons?” the youthful tycoon fumed.

“We have to reason our way forwards towards gaining actual Independence for we are not all fools for what they take us to be.”
