Former Resident District Commissioners (RDCs), Resident City Commissioners (RCCs) and their deputies have begged President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni for a bailout, revealing that they are choking on debts and bank loans.
Museveni’s office recently released a new list of RDCs, RCCs and their deputies. (See List HERE).
And as we have reported, the fired RDCs and RCCs formed some sort of pressure group. (Read Story Here).
In the letter dated April 05, signed by Richard Andama, the chairman of the National Former RDCs and RCCs Association (FORCA), the group asked President Museveni to rescue them with at least Shs100m.
“Your Excellency Sir, we also seek for a resettlement package of at least Ugx 100,000,000/= (One hundred million shillings) and we request if possible it should be paid at once not in halves so that we can be able to cover our loans and other debts we have,” wrote FORCA’s Andama.
The fired RDCs also asked Museveni to inject some money in their association’s savings group.
“Your Excellency Sir, we are also seeking for your support towards the Association SACCO which will enable us to venture in Commercial Agriculture and value addition,” further wrote Andama.
“They also assured Museveni that their association “shall be immensely used to mobilize Wanainchi through SACCO and enable sustainability and continuity of RDCs and RCCs who are already dropped.”
Meanwhile, the same group of fired RDCs, RCCs and their deputies have begged Museveni to give them ISO jobs. (Read Story Here).
