Uganda’s Scientific Advisory Committee has issued a notice, guiding health workers to “use two face masks while in the clinic/wards due to their potential risk of contracting infection.”
In a notice issued by health ministry’s director general of health services Dr Henry Mwebesa, the scientific committee urged health workers to properly double mask since they are at a higher risk of catching Covid19 in the more virulent and fast spreading second wave.
“All health workers should double mask up and follow IPC measures at all times” said Dr Mwebesa.
