Speaker Anita Annet Among and a significant number of MPs in Uganda’s 11th Parliament have declared their support for and trust in MK Movement Chairman Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, stressing their belief in the trinity of Museveni the father, Museveni the son and Museveni the Holy ‘Mother.’
Addressing a political rally today at Kongunga Primary School grounds in Bukedea District, Speaker Among, her deputy Thomas Tayebwa (NRM – Ruhinda North) several MPs and thousands of locals showered first son and senior presidential advisor on special operations Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba with love.
A number of MPs were in Bukedea ahead of Gen Kainerugaba’s two-day visit to Teso sub-region. Speaker Among had played smart when she invited the legislators for a thanksgiving mass at her new home, only to urge the people’s representatives to stay and welcome the president’s son who seems to be on the path to succeed his father as the country’s number one.
After the mass celebrated by Soroti Catholic Diocese Bishop, Rt Rev Dr Joseph Eciru Oliach, Speaker Among told legislators: “Honourable members, I have a function tomorrow [Monday] and I want to direct all members who are around and those who are about to arrive to kindly attend that function. I will be receiving my brother Gen Muhoozi in Bukedea.”
And most of the MPs obeyed their ‘boss.’
On August 14, Speaker Among welcomed the first son and made a declaration that approves of family rule in Uganda: a trinity of the Museveni family.
“For us in Bukedea District, we believe in the name of the father, the son and the Holy spirit. Over 300 MPs are here just to show you that the 11th parliament loves you,” said Anita Among.
Deputy Speaker Tayebwa re-echoed Parliament’s commitment to supporting the Muhoozi Project.
“You can count on us,” Tayebwa told Museveni’s son.
In his remarks, Gen Muhoozi applauded the people of Teso for welcoming him ‘back home’ in large numbers. He reminded them that he half of 2003 battling Joseph Kony’s Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) rebels.”
“I know Teso very well, it is my home and I thank you for this welcome,” says the MK Movement Chairman.
At the same event, the first son officiated at the handover of Shs240m to Koena Sub County Sacco which is projected to empower women and youth in the region.
Two key events are slated for August 15. These are: a motor rally and and a Baraza that will take place at Soroti Sports Grounds.
It should be remembered that months ago, Gen Muhoozi told his father that he was tired of waiting forever, suggesting that the elderly Museveni should hand over power to him. Weeks later, in what looked like a MOMENT OF TRUTH, Museveni ‘endorsed’ Muhoozi’s MK Movement ahead of the 2026 elections. (See Details Here and There).
Meanwhile, Speaker Anita Among gave Ugandans a sneak peek into her wealth after parading her new mansion in Bukedea District. (Read Story Here).
