Samia Suluhu Hassan has been sworn in as the sixth president — and first female president — of Tanzania, replacing John Pombe Magufuli who passed on Wednesday evening.
Samia Suluhu Hassan took oath at State House Dar es Salaam on Friday.
She will lead Tanzania as president until the end of Magufuli’s term won after a 2020 election.
