VIDEO: Here’s Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s Plan for Ugandan Youth

President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni’s son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has announced part of his plan for the youths in Uganda.

Also the Commander of the UPDF Land Forces, Lt Gen Kainerugaba rode on his 48th birthday party speech to tell all and sundry how he can solve the problems faced by young people in the country.

On April 23, Kainerugaba’s friends gathered at Cricket Oval Lugogo in Kampala to celebrate his 48th birthday.

For a second time, the first son had a chance to speak.

And in his remarks, he broached the issue of engaging young people in productive activities.

Kainerugaba spoke of a vibrant youth movement that government should be careful with.

“What this whole MK@48 thing is teaching Ugandans is that there is a strong and vibrant youth movement in this country. It is the strongest force in Uganda now,” noted Museveni’s son.

“It is imperative that all of us in government and leadership positions recognize this and start solving the problems of the youth and start looking into their interests. All the youth need is serious attention.”

He went on to say that he know the important things that can keep the youth engaged.

“Youths like two things: sports and entertainment. We need to invest in sports facilities in this country because the youth have too much energy. If you leave them idle you get a problem,” he said.

“Let’s rehabilitate football stadiums and expand them and give you [the youth] what you want. Let’s invest in the music industry and arts; we will be a long way in solving young people’s problems. There is no mystery to it . It’s simple.”
