Brother Joseph Tinkasimire, a former St Mary’s College Kisubi (SMACK) headmaster, has spoken out on first son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, recalling the president’s child’s school days, and wishing him well as he celebrates his 48th birthday.
Brother Tinkasimire of the Brothers of Christian Instruction Kisubi was headmaster at SMACK when Kainerugaba joined the school.
Tinkasimire says he first met Kainerugaba in 1989 when he admitted ‘the boy’ in Senior Two at SMACK.
On what kind of student Kainerugaba was, Brother Tinkasimire showered the first son with praises.
“He was a serious and highly disciplined student, very friendly and cooperative with other members of the school community,” he said.
The former SMACK headmaster also saluted the first son for his service to his nation.
Kainerugaba spoke of Brother Tinkasimire as a being strict but fair at the same time.
“I thank our beloved headmaster of St Mary’s Kisubi, at the time we were there for this beautiful birthday message,” he responded to the birthday wishes.
“Brother Joseph Tinkasimire was like another father for us while we were at SMACK (1989-1994). He was a strict disciplinarian but a very fair man at the same time.”
Brother Tinkasimire is not the first SMACK headmaster to speak well about Kainerugaba.
The school’s current headmaster, who was also his teacher, has previously spoken about Muhoozi’s behaviour during his school days as well as his potential to become president and succeed his father Museveni. (Read Story Here).
