There was chaos for a few minutes at the Kololo Independence Grounds in Kampala on the second and final day of the inaugural Janzi Awards Gala.
All had gone well until members of the Banansi Group started a fight over the money believed to have come from ‘Gulu’ where the Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) and President Museveni’s younger brother Gen Caleb Akandwanaho aka Salim Saleh had camped and met several musicians months ago.
A member of Banansi group is said to have started the fight when he demanded that the group leader gives him the money he had performed for.
The fight was caught on live TV.
The feuding group would later get whisked off the stage by security operatives.
