CLAN HEAD DANIEL BOSSA KILLER MURDERED! Uganda Police Force (UPF) has spoken out on the murder of Buganda King’s Ndiga Clan Head Eng Daniel Bbosa in Kikandwa Zone, Lungujja Parish, Lubaga Division of the capital Kampala. One of the killers has been murdered by a mob while his colleague survived with serious injuries and is currently in critical condition, according to Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP) Deputy Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire.
Owoyesigyire noted that the criminals shot Bbosa, the Ndiga clan head and director of Transa Electricals, dead “as he was approaching his residence.”
The killers, whose identities were yet to be known, by publication time rode on a motorcycle. At about 6pm, the assailants “opened fire at Mr Bbosa’s motor vehicle, bearing registration number UAH 637X, resulting in his immediate demise,” added KMP’s Owoyesigyire.
He went on to explain how residents in the area swiftly intervened to catch the killers of the ndiga clan head. A mob ended the life of one of the assailants while the other survived with life-threatening injuries.
“During the heinous act, a vigilant local resident bravely intervened, knocking down the assailants’ motorcycle and alerting the community,” said Owoyesigyire.
“Swiftly, members of the community mobilized, leading to a confrontation with the assailants. Mob justice ensued, resulting in the death of one assailant at the scene, while the other remains in critical condition.”
The police publicist listed the firearm said to have been used in the assassination as well as motorcycle registration number UEX 754E that the assailants were reportedly riding as exhibits force hopes to deploy in its investigations.
Even when community members said the two men – one killed and the other critically injured – were Bbosa’s killers, Owoyesigyire said “efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the perpetrators,” and that “the motive behind this senseless act of violence remains unknown.”
