UPDATE: Fresh details emerge on NBS TV journalist Sheilah Nakabuye’s cause of death

NBS TV journalist Sheilah Nakabuye was initially operated on at a clinic in Rwebikoona before she was rushed to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital, this publication has learnt.

Nakabuye was on Sunday delivered of a baby girl by cesearean section at Cedus Clinic in Mbarara City’s Rwebikoona area.

But the doctors and nurses at Cedus would later realize that Nakabuye’s health condition had deteriorated.

They thus rushed her to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital for further treatment.

Now, the Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital director Dr Celestine Barigye has told our reporter that Nakabuye succumbed to brain aneurysm, according to results of a CT scan conducted.

This is a condition where brain vessels swell, then burst, occasioning bleeding in the brain.

The resultant haemorrhagic stroke is, in most cases, fatal.

It was this condition, triggered by the complications that come with the rigorous process of bringing lives on earth, that claimed the life of the Uganda Pentecostal University Journalism and Mass Communication alumnus.
