All is set for first lady and Education Minister Janet Kataaha Kainembabazi Museveni to release results from the 2022 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).
Over 800,000 candidates sat for four PLE papers at thousands of Uneb centers across the country on November 08 and 09, 2022. After the marking of the papers and grading of candidates’ performance, Uneb is ready to release the results.
On Wednesday, January 25, 2023, Uneb officials briefed Minister Janet Museveni and other top officials from the Ministry of Education and Sports on how candidates performed.
Following the briefing, Janet Museveni will preside over an event to officially release the results at State House Nakasero in the capital Kampala. The release will happen at 11am.
While it might take some time before the schools can access both the physical and the electronic copies of the results, telecom companies work with Uneb to help parents, candidates and schools access the results via SMS. The charge for each message is Shs500.
“PLE will be released today. Once out, simply Type PLE <space> Index no. and send to 6600. For example PLE 003400/001 and send to 6600. Each SMS costs 500/-,” said Airtel Uganda in an alert sent out this morning.
MTN Uganda shared a similar notice: “#PLE2022 results will be out today. To check for results, type PLE <Space> Index Number e.g. PLE 003400/001 and send to 6600.”
