The position had remained vacant since February when Vincent Sseruuma’s contract expired.

The board appointed Bbosa and others in a special sitting held in October.

Bbosa will now leave Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) and join URA.

Also appointed is former Uganda National Roads Authority (Unra) head of accounts Denis Kugonza Kateeba who will be the new commissioner for tax investigations.

Robert Mutebi is the new commissioner in charge of Information Technology and Innovation; Allen Nassanga is the new assistant commissioner in charge of research and innovation; while former Ernst & Young Uganda’s Sarah Chelangat Muzungyo is the new commissioner in charge of domestic taxes.
