Details, including on the cause of death, are emerging following the breaking of the news of the demise of businessman Hajji Bulaimu Muwanga Kibirige, popularly known as BMK.
BMK was confirmed dead Friday, September 10 morning after being hospitalized for weeks.
He was aged 68.
Bulaim Kibirige was famous for his Hotel Africana.
He had been admitted at Nairobi Hospital in Kenya, and that is where he was pronounced dead.
Now, initial reports indicate that BMK succumbed to prostate cancer.
In March 2021, BMK recorded his experience with prostate cancer in his book titled My Story of Building A Fortune in Africa.
He was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2015.
In June 2021, Africana Hotel dismissed reports that BMK was battling Covid19, and that he had died then.
“There are rumours circulating that Hajji Balaimu Muwanga Kibirige has passed away, we would like to clarify that this is not true and any pages circulating this information should stop,” Hotel Africana said then.
