Entebbe Grade One Magistrate Stella Pacular Okwang has today summoned House of Prayer Ministries International (HPMI) pastor Aloysius Bujjingo and his second wife Suzan Makula Nantaba after charging them with three charges contrary to provision of the Marriage Act.
The charges stem from the Makula-Bujjingo introduction ceremony that happened on December 07.
Following the traditional ceremony, Bujjingo and Makula were dragged to court.
In court, Grade One Magistrate Okwang heard from the Bwerenga LCI Chairman who confirmed that the marriage ceremony indeed happened.
Satisfied with the Chairman’s testimony, Okwang slapped charges against Bujjingo and Makula.
The representative of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) confirmed that the state would not be taking over the case.
Bujjingo and Makula skipped court.
Their lawyer Ronald Ruhinda represented them.
In the end, Magistrate Okwang summoned Bujjingo and Makula to appear for plea taking on January 21, 2022.
