Entebbe Chief Magistrates Court has set February 28, 2022 as the date for the hearing of perennial litigant Hassan Male Mabirizi’s application to compel House of Prayer Ministries International (HPMI) lead Pastor Aloysius Bujjingo to pay a cash security bond or be detained for insulting the Kampala-based lawyer.
Mabirizi first rushed to the Entebbe Court challenging Pastor Bujjingo’s and Suzan Makula Nantaba’s traditional marriage yet the HPMI pastor is still officially married to Teddy Naluswa.
In response, Bujjingo called Mabirizi a pig.
The lawyer then filed an application seeking orders for court to compel Bujjingo to either pay a cash security bond of Shs2bn for his good behavior or be committed to prison until determination of his criminal case of participating in Customary Marriage Ceremony with Suzan Makula.
Mabirizi told court that Bujjingo was harsh, insulting, vulgar and threatening to him, a private prosecutor, with violence and death.
He also argued that Bujjingo had said he was just a strong man of God who could not subject himself to an earthly court.
The perennial litigant also noted that the pastor had called him “a pig just moving without direction, a nuisance and mere busy body.”
