Ruhinda North MP Thomas Tayebwa has been elected the deputy speaker of the 11th Parliament.
Tayebwa defeated Moses Okot P’Bitek (Kioga County – FDC).
Tayebwa got 379 votes while Okot managed 82.
Tayebwa will succeed Bukedea District Woman MP Anita Among.
Anita Among has been elected speaker, replacing the late Jacob Oulanyah. (Read Story Here).
