There is uproar on social media after it emerged that Foreign affairs Minister Sam Kutesa’s son Inga has been appointed Oman honorary consul to Uganda.
Inga Kutesa, 39, is a Kampala based businessman.
Oman foreign affairs minister Badr Albusaid appointed Inga Kutesa.
Inga would then present his credentials to his father’s junior minister Henry Okello Oryem last week.
Working closely with Oryem, Sam Kutesa approved his son Inga’s credentials.
Inga Kutesa has already started work at York Terrace in Kololo, Kampala.
He becomes the second Kutesa Child to work as an envoy, a job under his father’s direct supervision.

Inga’s sister Ishta is the honorary consul of Israel to Uganda.
This appointment left some Ugandans angry, questioning whether the appointments aren’t acts of nepotism.
To drive his anger home, opposition leader Dr Kizza Besigye employed sarcasm and labelled the Kutesa family a ‘Family of Diplomats.’
“The Kutesa family of Diplomats; son appointed Honorary Consul of Oman as daughter is appointed Honorary Consul of Israel. Their dad, Sam Kutesa, is the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Father-in-Law of Gen Muhoozi Keinerugaba, First Son and Commander of “Special Forces Group” of Uganda Military,” wrote Besigye.

“The other Kutesa daughter, Shartsi Kutesa, has been “elected” to replace her dad as MP for Mawogola, Sembabule District.”
