THEY WANT TO KILL ME: Bobi Wine’s Top ‘Man’ Cries Out

A top confidant of Uganda’s main opposition National Unity Platform (NUP) president Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine says he has information that some people want to kill him. Francis Zaake, a youthful MP representing Mityana Municipality, says he trusts the information and its source on an assassination plot against his life.

Zaake claims those who want to assassinate him belong to the Yoweri Museveni regime. He further alleged that a senior security officer and a minister were part of the assassination plot.

“I have received credible information from a whistleblower of a plot to assassinate me,” Zaake claimed.

“I am told that the plan is being hatched by regime officials led by the head of one of the organs of Government; a regime Minister; and a high-ranking security official. In case the worst happens, I have shared with relevant people details of the plot and identities of the individuals involved.”

Zaake’s claims happened after Speaker of Parliament Anita Among blocked him from taking over the job of deputy chief opposition whip, telling him the position did not exist and that Bobi Wine had given him ‘hot air.’ (See Details Here).

Zaake is not the first politician to claim that some people wanted to kill him. His bosses Bobi Wine and Speaker Anita Among have previously alleged there were some people who wanted to kill them. (Read Details Here and There).

The allegations by MP Zaake also happen after Ugandan pastor Aloysius Bujjingo survived an assassination attempt in which his driver was killed. (See Details Here and There).
