First Lady Janet Kainembabazi Kataaha Museveni says she was overwhelmed by how much her husband President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni aka Mzee Sevo, their children and Ugandans showered her with love on her 74th birthday.
Members of the first family organized a birthday party for Janet Museveni, who is also the Minister of Education and Sports, as Uganda’s longest-serving first lady celebrated her new age.
In her thank-you message, Janet Museveni saluted all people who congratulated her on her birthday and wished her many more fruitful and impactful years.
She revealed that she had cried with joy over the messages of love and congratulations she received.
“I cried so many tears of joy, laughed, and was simply amazed at how, in a world that has become so insensitive and harsh, there can be so many with so much goodness and love. You guys, please know you truly made my day yesterday,” noted Janet Museveni.
She said that the way her family and her other Ugandans had showered her with love had renewed her hope.
“To Mzee, my children-family, my spiritual children, my friends, and all people of goodwill. Today, I have no words with which I can thank you enough. Yesterday, my 74th birthday, I was so blessed by all your messages of love and kindness,” wrote Janet Museveni.
“I thank God for using all of you to inspire me and confirm to me, in no uncertain terms, that life is still worth living. And that there’s hope yet for humanity! May our God continue to bless you and use you for His glory! Do have a lovely day today and just know that I loooove you sooo much. And I know the God I love and serve will bless you all for me today and always.”
