Sorrow and grief engulfed family members as the body of late Africana Hotel owner Bulaimu Muwanga Kibirige (BMK) arrived at Entebbe International Airport.
BMK succumbed died September 10 at Nairobi Hospital.
President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni said BMK’s contribution was “indelible.”
“I commiserate with the family of Dr. Hajji Bulaimu Muwanga Kibirige (BMK), relatives, business associates, and well-wishers. Dr Bulaimu will forever be remembered for his indelible contribution towards building a fortune in Uganda & Africa. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” wrote Museveni.
Ruling NRM party Vice Chairman Hajji Moses Kigongo received BMK’s body.
The body was then driven to Kansanga Mosque for requiem prayers.
After the prayers in Kansanga, BMK’s body was taken to his home at Naguru where it will stay until tomorrow.
BMK will be laid to rest on Sunday, September 12 at Nkoowe Muslim Cemetery.
