A minister’s son left President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni pleasantly surprised after he handed him a gift at State House on July 28.
President Museveni had presided over the swearing-in of ministers Wilson Muruli Mukasa (Public Service), Sam Mangusho Cheptoris, (Water and Environment) and Fred Kyakulaga Bwino (State for Agriculture).
The ministers had missed the main and the mini swearing-in ceremonies over a range of issues, including Covid19 cases reported among their staff.
Now, during the State House event, during what Museveni called “the climax of the swearing-in ceremony for some ministers,” Minister Muruli Mukasa’s son presented a gift to the head-of-state.
Minister Muruli Mukasa’s son gifted Museveni a portrait made out of charcoal.
Museveni saluted his ‘grandson’ for the gift.
“This is enterprising!” he said.
“As for the gesture, thank you so much my muzukulu.”
