Dr Stella Nyanzi and her lawyer Isaac Ssemakadde have vowed to make journalist John Njoroge prove his allegations in a Facebook post regarding money reportedly received for a girls’ pads project, compel him to apologize or cough Shs1bn.

Nyanzi and Ssemakadde have notified Njoroge of their intention to sue him, through Gem Advocates.

The controversial academic and politician says “John Njoroge, should have known better when he took to his Facebook spaces and falsely accused me of stealing funds supposedly given to me for the sanitary pads campaign that I ran a few years ago.”

“He dared soil my name and reputation. He should have known better when he publicly lied that together with my lawyer, Mr. Isaac Ssemakadde, we received money for this campaign from deep-pocketed international organisations and then misappropriate the money. He dared spoil my relations with my loyal lawyer,” wrote Nyanzi.

“He should have known better when he cynically mocked my flight to exile as unnecessary, yet he too, is living in Uganda although he is Kenyan by name and nationality. Does he even have a valid work permit to be working in Uganda?”
