Jacob Marksons Oboth, the West Budama South MP, has resigned his job as State Minister for Defence to join the race to replace late Speaker Jacob Oulanyah.
Commonly known as Jacob Oboth-Oboth, the legislator is expected to express his interest in becoming the NRM flagbearer for the speaker race.
In May 2021, Oboth-Oboth was one of the people who had expressed interest in the deputy speaker role.
