Uganda’s finest Runyankore singer Reagan Muhairwe aka Ray G Rhiganz has proposed to Vision Group presenter Annabel Twinomugisha.
Twinomugisha, who works with the Mbarara-based TV West, showed off her ring and captioned a picture of her and Ray G: “To Love and to be Loved.”
For years, Ray G Rhiganz’s music has dominated radio waves, especially in western Uganda. The Omusheeshe song, from a collabo with singer Hajarah Namukwaya aka Spice Diana, made it to national music countdowns.
But the question of Ray G’s love eluded many entertainment media shows. When it came up during interviews, the crooner simply remained tight-lipped on who the lucky woman was.
“I am seeing someone but I am not ready to let the public know her,” he said in an interview in 2019 when the issue came up.
Some had thought Ray G was in love with Spice Diana. But although he said he loved her music and adored her beauty, the singer denied being in a love relationship with her.
“Me and Spice [Diana]! No, we are not dating. For Diana, I like her. Actually, not just liking her but loving her. I love her, yes I do,” he said.
“I love her very much because she is a good girl. I actually do not love her just as a musician but as a woman, she is very beautiful.”
But, finally, the woman in Ray G’s life is Annabel.
Many have taken to social media to wish Ray G and his girlfriend the best in their journey to marriage.
Unlike other celebrity couples, these lovebirds have kept their love life off social media despite the media attention they enjoy as singer and presenter.
TV West reporter Gideon Senyomo shared a photo of the two at a Christian party where they were god parents for a friend’s child.
