SHOCKING REVELATIONS: ‘Jacob Oulanyah Had Refused to Go to Hospital; He Sang a Funeral Song When I Visited Him’

Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny-Dollo has made some revelations about Jacob L’Okori Oulanyah, the late former speaker of the 11th Parliament.

Speaking during the national funeral service for Oulanyah at the Kololo Independence Grounds, Owiny-Dollo revealed that the former speaker was reluctant to go to hospital for treatment.

The chief justice said that if Oulanyah had been more open, perhaps the story would be different.

“If my brother had been more open, maybe we wouldn’t be gathered here. It is very human be sick; once we know we have these ailments, the right thing to do is submit ourselves to the people who treat us,” narrated Owiny-Dollo.

“My brother gave up in January. The deputy speaker then called me and she said Oulanyah was not moving to hospital without you. When I got to his home, he sang a funeral song but I told him you are lying.

“I rebuked him and told him, ‘what will I tell your father if you die in the house. I have come here to tell you that we need to go to hospital’. He accepted and we took him to hospital.”

Owiny-Dollo’s revelation confirms what DP leader Norbert Mao previously hinted on in his rebuke to Bobi Wine’s NUP over protests against Oulanyah’s airlifting to the US. (Read Story HERE).
