Case Hospital in Kampala has dismissed claims that lawyer Bridget Nassonko, who NUP leader Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, claimed was his ‘sister,’ had died due to negligence of the facility’s staff.
Nassonko was pronounced dead on December 02.
Case Hospital says Nassonko died on arrival.
She had been referred to the hospital with post-surgical complications.
“Case Hospital has noted several statements and videos circulating on social media regarding a client who was sadly confirmed dead on arrival to the health facility on Thursday December 2, 2021,” said the hospital in a statement.
“It must be noted that the client was referred for management of post-surgical complications that recurred despite medical intervention at another health facility where the surgery was done.”
After dismissing claims that they had been negligent, the hospital’s administrators added: “Case Hospital remains a tested, trusted brand that has garnered critical acclaim due to its consistent commitment to providing medical care and managing complications that would routinely not be handled in most facilities.”
