The Uganda Human Rights Commission (UHRC) has made changes in the program for the burial of its former commissioner and ex-minister of ethics and integrity.

Lokodo died in Geneva, Switzerland, on January 29. (Read story here).

The cause of Lokodo’s death remains unclear, but some reports claim he succumbed to Covid19. (Read story here).

A defrocked Catholic Church priest, Lokodo was as controversial as he was interesting. (Read his profile here).

There have mixed reactions on the legacy of Lokodo. Dr Stella Nyanzi have prayed that he rots in hell. (Read story here).

An earlier program had indicated the date of burial of Lokodo as Sunday, February 06.

But a revised program shows that the body of the former minister will depart from Geneva for Entebbe International Airport today, Friday, February 04, at 11:15am.

On Saturday, February 05, at 4:40am, Lokodo’s body will arrive at the Entebbe International Airport aboard Turkish Airlines and will be taken to the A-Plus Funeral Home.

There will then be a vigil at the ex-minister’s home in Seeta starting at 6pm and ending at 6am the following morning.

On Monday, at 12pm to 1pm, there will be a requiem mass at Christ the King Church

At 6am on Tuesday, February 08, the body will be flown to Karenga District for burial.

At 9am, there will be a joint session of the North Karamoja Council at Kapedo in Karenga District.

At 10am, there will be mass at Kapedo, followed by speeches before Lokodo’s body is laid to rest at 5pm.
