It is early to talk of deciders and tittles three matches inside the StarTimes Uganda Premier League. But it is always a talking point when SC Villa and KCCA meet.
These two teams are the most successful clubs in Uganda’s football
SC Villa that is hosting KCCA at Bombo has won 16 league trophies while the Kasasiro boys have 13 to their name.
KCCA have enjoyed most of her success since 2004 when Joogos performance started to shrink.
KCCA coach Mike Mutebi believes in facing tough opposition despite decent start of the season with maximum points from three games as his new boy Brain Aheebwa is currently scoring for fun.
“It’s going to be a hard game especially that we are playing away from home,” said Mutebi
Back in the days, the fixture would put the City on standstill but Mutebi still believes the rivalry hasn’t died.
The rivalry will still be there, these are the two most successful clubs in the country.”
The hosts will miss the services of Moses Aliro who was injured in a win against Mbarara City on Friday as well as Juma Balinya and suspended Benson Muhindo.
Edward Kaziba’s team will want to impress after 2-1 loss to URA .
“We were disappointed with the previous result but we shift focus to the next game,” said Kaziba.
In their last seven meetings, KCCA has won four games with one draw and two wins for the Jogoos.
