The Ministry of Public Service has revealed that President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni’s cabinet has not yet authorized the docket to release the new salary structure that will take effect in July 2022.
Government is said to have approved salary enhancements for a number of top health professionals in the country, starting in the 2022-23 financial year, which kicks off on July 01. (Read Story Here).
This prompted other health workers under the Allied Health Professionals Associations to announce that they will go on strike next month for being left behind. (Read Story Here).

But according to Catherine Bitarakwate, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Service, “the information about the salary structure will be out as soon as Cabinet tells us to release it.”
The Ministry of Public Service is also treating some of the leaked salary structures as falsehoods and rumors.
It is not clear when the official salary structure will be released.

The proposed increments have left many people wondering if government will really fulfill this pledge and increase salaries by very high amounts.
