Former Democratic Party (DP) president general Paul Kawanga Ssemogerere has died. Ssemogerere was aged 90. He was born in Kalangala District in 1932. Ssemogerere previously ran for president but lost to current leader President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni.
Ssemogerere was the leader of DP for about 25 years. He retired from active politics in 2005. He is said to have died at his home on the morning of Friday, November 18, 2022.
