President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni’s senior advisor on politics, Can Yowasi Rwamango Makaaru, is dead.
Makaaru was pronounced dead at his home in Sheema Municipality’s Mikyerere Cell of Central Division on January 31.
The cause of his death was not readily clear.
But he is said to have been battling diabetes.
A former district chairman for 15 years, Makaaru previously led what is now the Greater Bushenyi District.
He was a respected elder in Ankole sub-region.
