Rwandan president Paul Kagame and veteran journalist Andrew Mwenda have lost their friend Bright Rujumba.
Rujumba died at Mulago Referral Hospital on March 30.
He succumbed to a blood clot.
According to Mwenda described Rujumba as loyal and caring.
“A friend of President Kagame from those days of 1985, in 2006, Kagame, who never forgets his friends, asked me to take Bright to visit him in Kigali! Bright had a large heart and cared for everyone without qualm or restraint. He was a jolly companion and loyal friend,” wrote Mwenda.
“President Kagame once told me he and Fred Rwigyema would always show up at Bright’s house at 2am and his wife, Major, would wake up to cook for them!
