SAD! IGG Beti Kamya’s Mother Dead

Margaret Kamya Wairimu, the mother to Inspector General of Government (IGG) Beti Namisango Kamya, has passed on. 

Wairimu was aged 81.

Medics at the Mulago National Referral Hospital pronounced Wairimu dead on Tuesday, January 11, 2022.

“The Inspectorate of Government commiserates with IGG Beti Kamya over the demise of her dear mother, Mrs. Margaret Wairimu Kamya, which occurred at Mulago National Referral Hospital this morning,” read a statement from the inspectorate.

“Burial arrangements will be communicated in due course. May her soul rest in eternal peace.”

Born in Kenya’s Nakuru, Wairimu married a Ugandan accountant named George Wilson Kamya.

The family moved to Uganda in 1961.

May Wairimu’s soul rest in peace.
