Robert F Kennedy Jr Drops Out of US Presidential Race, Endorses Republican Donald Trump

Independent presidential candidate Robert F Kennedy Jr – or RFK Jr. – has announced that he has dropped out of the November 2024 US presidential election. Robert F Kennedy Jr has officially endorsed Republican Donald Trump.

Robert F Kennedy Jr said Trump had asked him to join his campaign in two separate meetings, with one of these happening days after the attempted assassination attempt on the 45th US president campaigning for another term.

“In those meetings, he suggested that we join forces as a unity party. We talked about Abraham Lincoln’s team of rivals, that arrangement would allow us to disagree publicly and privately and furiously, if need be, on issues over which we differ, while working together on the existential issues upon which we are in concordance,” said RFK Jr in Phoenix, Arizona, the same state where Trump is expected to hold a rally.

The RFK Jr campaign will now ask that his name be removed from the ballots in swing states but in several others, the name will remain.

Hailing from a family of predominantly democrats, Robert F Kennedy Jr said he was “suspending” his campaign because there was no clear path to victory.

“I am not terminating my campaign I am simply suspending it and not ending it. My name will remain on the ballot in most states. In my heart, I no longer believe that I have a realistic path of electoral victory in the face of this relentless, systematic censorship and media control,” he said.

“So I cannot, in good conscience, ask my staff and volunteers to keep working their long hours, or ask my donors to keep giving when I cannot honestly tell them that I have a real path to the White House.”

He accused democrats of conducting a “sham election” and for persecuting him and Donald Trump through the judicial system.

After the endorsement from his former rival, Trump said, “I want to thank Bobby, that was very nice,” Trump said. “He’s a great guy, respected by everybody.”

RFK Jr’s decision came after VP Kamala Harris accepted ‘nomination’ as the candidates for democrats after elderly president Joe Biden announced he was dropping out of the race after pressure from his party’s top brass. (See Details Here and There).
