Singer Adam Mulwana, famous for the Toka Kwa Balabala song that opposition politician Dr Kizza Besigye has used for his campaigns over the years, is dead.
Mulwana’s Toka kwa Balabala song, popular with supporters of Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), usually saw Besigye dancing as he swung his two fingers (representing FDC).
Mulwana had been ill for some time. He passed on at about 3am on the morning of Tuesday, February 13, 2024.
His family was rushing him to a health facility in Seguku when he breathed his last.
Opposition activists and politicians have been sending condolences to the family.
“Very sad to wake up to the news of the passing of our comrade Adam Mulwana who sang Toka Kwa Balabala. He was an impassioned fighter for justice and dignity for the people of Uganda. May his gentle soul rest in peace,” wrote National Unity Platform (NUP) secretary general David Lewis Rubongoya.
