Ugandan gospel singer Levixone has blasted rich pastors who ignore their flock.
The singer noted that God had blessed many pastors with wealth but they had not helped the flock under their charge.
“God has blessed our pastors more than many companies and they are very rich, but these pastors forget us so often,” Levixone told NTV GXP.
He added that he and other gospel artistes were yet to receive the Covid19 lockdown relief package and stimulus funds for artistes yet they had people to look after.
“I have heard that there is money that has been released to musicians but nothing has come to some of us, especially the gospel artists yet we have people knocking on our doors,” he noted.
“Just like everyone else, I can’t work because of the lock down and there are people (women and street children) we have been looking after but there are no resources now.”
The singer, who has won several awards, including the Global Music Awards Africa (GMAAs), emphasized the importance of prayer and fasting, and the centrality of God in his life.
“Every Monday, me and my group fast, we dedicate whatever we have to God and I want to think with this trust, we will achieve whatever we want to achieve,” he explained.
“I recently won an International award after being nominated in a category that had big West African artists, that was huge, I give all the Glory to God.”
