Uganda Police Force (UPF) Bomb Squad has said the suspicious polythene bag (kaveera) at Akamwesi Mall building only contained rubbish.
For over an hour, police blocked Gayaza Road after while responding to reports of something suspected to be a bomb at the newly constructed Akamwesi Building.
Police Bomb Squad operatives would later come to the scene to have a look at the suspicious kaveera.
But they would later discover that the kaveera contained rubbish.
There was a similar bomb scare in Namasuba days ago.
