A photo being shared by some social media users to claim that Kenya’s fourth President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta has moved his private cars and other properties out of State House to clear the way for a new occupant has raised speculation on the contents of the final Supreme Court judgement on the presidential election petition.

The photo was shared online as Kenya remains on tension over an apex court ruling expected on Monday, September 05, 2022.

A number of those sharing the photo are claiming that this is an indicator that the Supreme Court will uphold William Samoei Ruto’s election as the fifth president of the Republic of Kenya.

In the photo, two trucks run by Cube Movers, a moving company, are seen exiting State House Kenya.

But local factcheckers have indicated that the photo was not taken recently but is from the year 2013 when President Kenyatta was moving into State House.

Uhuru, son to the country’s first post-independence president Jomo Kenyatta, has been the occupant of State House Kenya for the past 10 years, but another person is expected to take over soon.

If the Supreme Court upholds his election, Ruto will be the occupant of State House Kenya in a matter of days.

But if his election is nullified, it will take a little more than two months for a new president to be chosen in another election.

On Monday, the seven judges of the Supreme Court will base on these nine issues to determine whether to nullify or uphold William Ruto’s victory. (See the 9 issues in this story HERE).

Meanwhile, some organizations, including a famous one based in the United States of America, say the Supreme Court will rule in Ruto’s favour. (Read Story Here).

In their spirited arguments in court, Raila Odinga’s lawyers ‘dropped a bombshell’ showing how Venezuelan national Jose Camargo reportedly changed presidential election results to favour Ruto and fail Raila on his fifth attempt at the country’s top job. (Read Story Here).
