REVEALED: Here’s the Multi-Billion Deal That Rema’s Husband Hamza Ssebunya Signed with Museveni at State House

Singer Rema Namakula’s husband Dr Hamza Ssebunya has ‘fallen in things’ and he and some Indian investors met and struck a deal with Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni.

Dr Ssebunya and his co-investors met Museveni at State House, and agreed on a multi-billion project.

According to Presidency Minister Milly Babirye Babalanda, the investors that Dr Ssebunya is working with are from India. Minister Babalanda identified the investors as Nilesh Jetpariya and Vishal Acharya.

“They plan to set up ceramics and plastic manufacturing units to boost the local economy and create jobs,” said Babalanda.

Ssebunya, who had accompanied accompanied the investors to meet Museveni, is said to be these Indians’ Ugandan representative. Also part of the deal is Nelson Lufafa, the former Butembe County MP.

A few years ago, Rema replaced singer Edrisa Musuuza aka Eddy Kenzo with Dr Ssebunya, and the two seem determined to better their lives.

While Rema and Ssebunya have tried to avoid politics recently, the singer was one of the top musicians who sang the Tubonga Naawe song, Museveni 2016 reelection campaign song.

Others who participated in the song included: Bebe Cool, Jose Chameleone, King Saha, Juliana Kanyomozi, and Iryn Namubiru.

This collaboration alone points to the fact that Rema is a ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) singer, and could have encouraged her husband to tap into opportunities availed by the government to mint billions and make his contribution towards growing the economy.

Ssebunya has now caught the attention of the president for wooing investors into the country as Museveni continues to preach the gospel of industrialization.

While some investors such as Enrica Pinetti of the controversial coffee deal have left some Ugandans cursing, Museveni has continued to defend foreign investors and pledge more support for them to help transform the country. He has continued to launch industrial parks, which he hands over to the investors.
