President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni has appointed Aminah Nanziri Lukanga to replace Hudu Hussein as Kampala Resident City Commissioner (RCC).
Museveni’s office released the list of new RDCs and their deputies today. (Read and List Story Here).
Hudu has been sent to Yumbe. (Read Story Here).
Lukanga, the woman replacing Hudu Hussein, is a former LCIII Woman Councillor for Kibuli Parish.
She is the woman who seconded President Museveni’s nomination as party chairman and presidential flagbearer ahead of the 2021 elections.
In 2020, Lukanga sought the NRM flag for the Makindye East MP seat.
But she lost to Elijah Owobusingye.
Lukanga chose to stand as an independent candidate.
She was the only woman in the eight-candidate race.
She and six others lost to Derrick Nyeko of the NUP.
Today, she has been appointed the Kampala RCC, replacing Hudu Hussein.
